Who is Reuben in the Bible?

Reuben was a spies
The Bible does not mention Reuben’s name. In the book of Genesis, he is a servant to Jacob. But his origin story is more complicated. His uncle Laban had two unmarried daughters, Leah and Rachel. He promised to work for him for seven years in exchange for Rachel, but Laban tricked him into marrying Leah. But once Jacob had finished his seven years of hard labor, he was granted Rachel as his wife.
Reuben’s clan was the largest of all the tribes. It consisted of forty-five thousand men. His two brothers, Gad and Simeon, were smaller. Their camp was on the south side of the Tabernacle.
